The Color Green: Joshua & Dexter

Symbolism in The Great Gatsby: The Color Green

"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us" (p. 171).

"In the sunlight his face was green" (George Wilson, p. 117).

"On the green Sound, stagnant in the heat,.." (p. 112).

The Color Green symbolizes the meaning of life and the gaining of material possessions.

Money Makes The World Go Round. We’re American. The Gain of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

What Logan said. Good quotes and analysis, but you could've used some more possible meanings, such as envy and Gatsby's dream. Remember the light at the end of Daisy's dock?
By the way, I see you Logan, doing the bare minimum.
