Daisy - Alex and Steffanie

Meaning: That Daisy is clean and rich on the outside but rotten on the inside.

"Daisy, gleaming like silver, safe and proud above the hot struggles of the poor" (142)

"At his lips' touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete." (117)

I absolutely agree, Daisy's personality appears first perfect, shes the girl everyone wants but ultimately she is a wreck on the inside. She is a mess in which she tries to conceal.

As with almost any flower, the outside, the petals, are the most beautiful part. The core, the pollen insides are never quite as beautiful. The daisy itself has an ugly yellow core. Daisy, the character, can be related to the same yellow core, as she did not have the courage to make a stand and side with Gatsby or accept his love, which arguably led to his death. Yellow being the classic color for cowardice.

Daisy- pure white means pure and innocent but the inside means who real Daisy is inside- a women who thinks a man without money is worthless to a women. Isn't that what Daisy really is?
More explanination would be wonderful.
